Now this is proper snowploughing. Reminds me of one very harsh winter on the Clacton line at Feering when we unfortunately derailed an EMU by driving it into snow as deep as the train itself

Sitting fuming on my SWR train from Alton to Waterloo which should have been turned onto the fast line at Berrylands but wasn’t, this error wasn’t corrected at any of New Malden, Wimbledon or Clapham Jn and now following stopping trains all the way. 🤷‍♂️

It was good to participate in our Connected Leaders alumni event this afternoon in the City. Lots of positivity and energy in the room about the looming changes to the rail industry. But I haven’t had to wear so much clobber out in London for ages!

Guildford is hardly an insignificant station on the SWR network, yet all five of its ticket selling windows remain resolutely closed at 1530 on a busy Thursday afternoon. Not a welcoming experience for irregular customers
