Yeah! (Hadn't asked him that yet, but he said he is.) He's also a runner, and probably has done some good trail runs in his time. Much of that is changing for him, due to what happens at the end of Shield & Scalpel.

I hate marketing. I get why we have to genre things, but I still hate it. I don't always understand the difference between lit fic, spec fic, and genre fic. Closest I can get is some action/adventure.

I'm so bad at recognizing my own tropes. Beyond hurt/comfort. That's ... yeah that's what I write.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

Frustrated little dude gripping a pencil saying “how do I pack this down into something I can actually share?” While swirling rainbows labeled “INFINITE POTENTIAL” float around them.

Little dude frowns at a tiny grey box, exclaiming “all that work for THIS?!”

Little dude shoves the grey box into another little guy’s hands; Frowning, stomping off, and saying “Here you go, I made this, it sucks.”

Second little dude cracks open the box, swirling rainbows project out onto their face.

Second little dude stares in awe at all the swirling rainbows now floating around them.

Liam would take Sanal & Rajan back to the area where he grew up, near the Ohiopyle in PA. He'd probably also take them to the Laurel Highlands and find a nice lil cabin to stay in. He loves the city, but he misses the trees and the mountains.

Liam grew up in the mountains south of Pittsburgh, near Uniontown. He lived with his mother until she took her own life when he was 10. Then he moved in with his (shitty) father and (shitty) stepmother. He lived with them until after his masters in Criminal Justice.

I got a lot done yesterday! I now have four named characters, including my alternate POV char, Stasha Konev. I know how Stasha ended up in trouble, and who is helping them. I know who dies. I know a good bit, and it's almost time to start plotting scenes. Yee!

Liam hasn't wanted to live for a long time. Probs since he lost his mom when he was 10. The storyline in S&S has him thinking differently now. A brush with death & friends & tomatoes have gotten him to the point where he wants to live. #ChefsKiss is when he starts to fight.

Due to The Event in #Shield&Scalpel, Liam has two choices in #ChefsKiss: give up or fight & heal. He wants to find out what it's like to *want* to live, something that's brand new to him. He wants to find out what a relationship w/ Sanal looks like, too. He wants to fight.

Yeah, I messed up the amount of time it takes to do an autopsy and that had a major bearing on the timeline.

Oh, Liam's story is a long one. Mother died by suicide when he was 10, father & stepmom are jerks, he had a serious relationship end badly and it's scarred him so much...poor dude.

Uh, I should, since it's mostly done. It's about a trans masc detective and a agender pathologist solving crime & growing as people in the process. That's the best i got rn!

#Shield&Scalpel is the first book in what will *at least* be a duology. #ChefsKiss is book 2 and is in the plotting stages. I don't know if there will be a book 3...it depends on my MCs progress in b2. :)
