Please repost! We have a second biomechanics faculty position!

This is an open rank clinical-track position in sports biomechanics at the University of Michigan. This is a largely teaching-focused position and we have outstanding resources to support teaching and student learning. #BiomechSky

😃 A new article published in J Biomech by Ratke et al shows that a passive back-support exoskeleton is effective in altering indicators of fatigue which can lead to injury.

Christmas came early for us today! 😍 Very excited to dive into the world of HD EMG! Thank you #NSERC for supporting our work! 🙏

Yes, I'm familiar with NBD! Great initiative! We'll probably register with them for another session in April.

We welcomed 5 local high school's to campus today. It was great to see so many students interested in #kinesiology and #biomechanics! #brocku

Thanks John! I'll look into the python daqmx.

Our applications are not very complex. Simple data acquisition, real time biofeedback graphs, etc.

Just not sure I have the capacity to start fresh and build something out. I would like to find a prepackaged option or something with limited set up.
holmeslab.bsky.social
Any other options for us? Would ideally like a flexible solution (customizable, love that about LabVIEW) that integrates easily with National Instruments. Doesn't have to be open source, willing to pay, if the right solution.

Thoughts?? 🙏
holmeslab.bsky.social
Given LabVIEWs change to a subscription model, I'm looking for other options to easily integrate with our National Instruments A/D set up.

We use Matlab (uni subscription) for signal processing, but never for acquisition. Are there public Matlab programs? I don't care to start from scratch here.

EMG data acquisition question!

We currently use a combination of LabVIEW, Signal or Vicon Nexus for EMG data collection. Software varies depending on project, a/d set up, other measures (forces, kinematics), etc.

Hey all! I started a biomechanics starter pack.

Let me know who I missed so I can add them and follow them myself!

And check in to see who you might want to follow.
