Anybody else noticed how many of our "progressive" public agencies haven't abandoned xitter yet?

Don't believe me? Annual total payroll of $3.5M.

Here is their entire list of accomplishments for 2025 from their own press room:

(For anyone counting, that's 7 press releases and 6 blog posts for a $20M annual organization that is bound by CA statute to support State Parks.)

You may say to yourself, what do these people even do?

And you may ask yourself - is this actually doing anything for improving park trails and access to the outdoors?

(And the answer is - Not really! Not measurably.)

It only took CA State Parks and CA Natural Resources Agency TWO YEARS to *begin* to figure out how to spend money we all voted for for parks and trails

I'll certainly remember that the next time I advocate for something like Prop4.

I am not sad to see Maraskeshia Smith go from Santa Rosa... a seemingly decent person who NEVER bothered to attend an IT staff meeting or introduce herself... after more than 3 years. Not a team builder. Kind of a gaping hole.

If you're also a journey level CM, please don't make this mistake.

Few things are as cool on the internet as new bare earth hillshade models from recent lidar flights.
Sonoma County just got to see the 2022 flight (most recent previously was 2013)

My how times have changed...
When I was in college the swim team I was on regularly threw 'keggers'... and they were always a hit.
My son sends me photos of the 20 people attending his Saturday morning "Pancaker"

Pretty rad. We are evolving.

Is it possible to campaign any more pandery to public safety than Mike McGuire?

Sorry Mike. You can support without the overt bootlicking. I'll be voting for someone else.

Also: what have you even accomplished in 25 years of being elected? Pretty shallow legacy, Bud.

Correction, @sfgate.com :

This is in "Russian Gulch" *not* Russian River. These are two different, albeit adjacent, watersheds.
