Hear me out...

Because MARKETING PROFESSIONALS hadn't quite figured out how to nickel and dime families in the 60s to the extent they do now.

That AND we simply cannot have all the things. Only rich people can afford abundance.

Don't believe me? Annual total payroll of $3.5M.

Here is their entire list of accomplishments for 2025 from their own press room:

(For anyone counting, that's 7 press releases and 6 blog posts for a $20M annual organization that is bound by CA statute to support State Parks.)

You may say to yourself, what do these people even do?

And you may ask yourself - is this actually doing anything for improving park trails and access to the outdoors?

(And the answer is - Not really! Not measurably.)

MacDonald's apology (for sexual inappropriate behavior) doesn't strike me as one that was very well thought-out or processed.

The gravity of this should require something a bit more than an "I'm sorry" tearfest? I mean, come on lady.

From my favorite veteran campaign consultant:

"...on electing better people... that's something I've been involved in for decades, literally, to little/no effect. It's hard as fuck to find people willing to run who aren't egomaniacs or idiots. We can keep trying..."

It only took CA State Parks and CA Natural Resources Agency TWO YEARS to *begin* to figure out how to spend money we all voted for for parks and trails

I'll certainly remember that the next time I advocate for something like Prop4.

I am not sad to see Maraskeshia Smith go from Santa Rosa... a seemingly decent person who NEVER bothered to attend an IT staff meeting or introduce herself... after more than 3 years. Not a team builder. Kind of a gaping hole.

If you're also a journey level CM, please don't make this mistake.

WHEN IS A CREDIBLE JOURNALIST WITH MORALITY AND AN UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS MAN IS A PSYCHOPATH GOING TO SAY OUT LOUD, TO HIM, IN FRONT OF HIM AND ON THE RECORD:

"MAN, YOU ARE SUCH A PIECE OF SHIT"

because until that happens, the folks standing with mics are kinda pieces of shit, aren't they?
Trump doubles down on his Rob Reiner attack: "I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person... He became like a deranged person, Trump Derangement Syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country."
