I'm not sure you can get more marie antoinette than taking away food stamps before thanksgiving while you build a gold and marble dance hall so the other crooks can bring bribe you over a badly-cooked (argentinian) steak

The elite have intentionally destroyed the checks on merit and character in our society, because they possess neither.

Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

Exactly.

I’m pretty sure they said the ozone was done and couldn’t be saved and we reversed its damage.

It’s not too late.
When you see a person or publication say it’s too late to do anything about climate change, question their motives.

The fossil fuel industry propaganda machine put billions of dollars into pivoting from “climate change isn’t real” to “climate change isn’t man made” to now “it’s too late to bother.”

So many of these events were crazy, but my brain is broken by this part. A cop shows up, sees another cop there, pulls up next to him, he refuses to even look at her, and she doesn't even clock it as suspicious. Truly insane.
holy shit -- acting US attorney Thompson details that Boelter went to the homes of two other elected officials after shooting Hoffman but before going to Hortman's house. One cop encountered him at the third house but thought he was a police officer.

I am genuinely beginning to believe this is my manifesto.

This maybe the most important thing I’ve ever written.

Cold, Dark, Comfort
I knew with a cold certainty I’ve never experience before or since that if I chose to quit, if I closed my eyes right then I would slip back into the cold, comfortable darkness. I wouldn’t feel a thin...

I wrote about the need to rethink our approach to direct action in changing times.
Collective Survival, Adaption and Direct Action
Defiance must be woven into the fabric of our daily lives, rather than simply proclaimed at marches or on social media.
