Spotted something in my code that wasn't looking quite right. Dug around a bit this morning and found the problem, almost done working on the solution. Will have to test over the next few days to see how well that solution works or if I'll need to re-tool.

I am currently testing the auto-scorekeeping script for meatsport matches. Other things need to come together before being able to launch preds and bets, then even more before I can launch stock trading.

For newer sports (aka markets) coming to hoot, I'll be adding most of them all at once. However, racing (F1, NASCAR, IRL, etc) will come later as it requires some more custom coded pieces that are currently not built.

I do honestly look forward to seeing how OW esports pans out in 2025. The suggested changes for 2025 look promising, but with OW esports the devil is ALWAYS in the details. They have a true knack for taking great ideas and finding ways to hamstring themselves for no discernible reason.

Other sports that may be added to the market included cricket, tennis, golf, and mma. If I can find a good means of including these sports while also balancing them out then they're in.

That being said, I am in the process of ironing out the best ways to add the ability for people to financially support hoot to help keep it going w/o going pay to win.

Phase 1 of integrating meatsports into the site is almost done. P1's sole focus is getting current matches into the database.
Phase 2's focus will be on backfilling old matches. Once that's done then the markets for the various meatsports will be live for trading.

No OWCS market on hoot. The scene is way too volatile with the current format to have a lasting, maintainable market.
Preds/bets may eventually occur but with how fluid things are with teams+rosters it makes doing anything OWCS related very iffy.

There's a lot to be said about OWCS and, frankly, I'm unsure if I'll even attempt to add a market for it on hoot. Between the extremely high number of teams per region, and lack of an api that I can find at the moment adding it in would be an overwhelming undertaking for minimal gain.

While an exact timeline is still incredibly fluid, a plan is in place to add multiple markets to the site. As the holidays wind down and life returns to somewhat normalcy we'll just have to see how quickly these other markets can be added.
