Yes! And maybe personal things that have crossed over into behavior with a clear impact to others. He understands when he has fumbled; he doesn’t see it ahead of time and prevent it from happening

Emerson is decently self-aware about skill related flaws, and can identify when he has acted in a flawed way, but is not the most introspective or emotionally tuned in dude to understand his shortcomings. He can see it after when it’s clear, but not before/during/when it’s subtle.

I think about this a lot when I read SFF and I’m glad i’m a contemporary romance writer so I don’t need to worry. Parrots exist 😅
