I think I need to get one of those. People keep saying our cats are assembled wrong.

We don't usually provide litter trays, but there is a little area in the main room which has a retractable screen (with a cat-sized hole) so you don't have to make awkward eye contact when your cat is doing their business. In the photo it's below the picture on the wall.

We're a not-for-profit holiday site in Falkirk, Scotland, set up to fund maintenance of a listed building and mental health work. We have six quirky glamping lodges, each sleeping 4. One unit has special features for people travelling with cats, another for dogs.

This time last year we visited the Christmas market and fayre in Edinburgh. There were many stands selling crepes too - you can't improve on banana and nutella.

We started on a shoestring budget, and now a year in we're able to add the extras we've always wanted. Today we're getting new pet blankets, and, more importantly, heated towel rails! That's a bit of a project but all the units will get them over the next few weeks as and when we can.

Heart of Scotland is a not for profit, and all excess goes towards maintaining the Grade B listed Kinneil House, or mental health work. This week we're working on what will be a bedroom in the house, with a funky new turquoise paint scheme, with glitter!

When you're coming and going from your car at Heart of Scotland, remember to look up at the windows - you might see a cat! As we do renovations hopefully the number of windows where cats can be seen will increase.

A 10 minute drive from us, one of Falkirk's big attractions are The Kelpies, some very large steel horse heads by the M9 in Helix Park. They are extremely impressive things, built in tribute to the area's canal heritage. You can even go climbing inside them some days!

One of our guests is here for their cat to have an operation with Mobile Vet Scotland, friends of ours. Their other cat, Draeda the Nebelung, was having a good explore of the garden earlier!
