it is a bit knitpicky I know - but that is marketing...

Neither Rudolf, nor Albrecht I, Frederick the hndsome or Albrecht II were crowned emperors.
hotgpod.bsky.social
so, who do you think was the first Habsburg emperor?
hotgpod.bsky.social

hotgpod.bsky.social

In just one year 1438 Albrecht II. rises from mid-ranking duke to king of Hungary, king of Bohemia and king of the Romans.
Was it just because he married the right girl (always recommended), or was his overnight success decades in the making?

This is interesting. I used to go skiing in (the) Tyrol during the 80s and 90s and the locals were adamant calling it “Das Tirol”. And when I started talking about it, I found the same expression in German and English texts. But you are right, when I checked just now, it is old fashioned.

On July 9th, 1386 in a field near the Sempach the armies of archduke Leopold of Austria line up against the forces of the city of Lucerne and the men of Uri, Schwyz and Nidwalden….and the rest is some very interesting history - even without Tell & Winkelried

A vicar, an imam and a rabbit go into a bar. The rabbit says to the barman - I must be here because of autocorrect…

Norix not Nordic…autocorrect.

If they only were still selling canalettos..

The chronicle describes the Council of Constance = turning three popes into one…

Not sure what that message might be but why pies? Were they a thing in 15th century Swabia? Would have expected something like Flammkuchen.

At least Brezeln are represented!
hotgpod.bsky.social
Three pretzels, three pies….me thinks there is a subtle message here.
hotgpod.bsky.social

Here is what I would suggest:

The last season (186-201)does take you through Southern Germany, specifically Nürnberg, Augsburg, Mainz and Rothenburg.
As for Bamberg, there are 3 episodes on emperor Henry II who was crucial for Bamberg (17-19). Maybe also have look at episode 50.
Have a lovely time!

I always had my suspicions about the Medici, and that was before I realised they liked stepping on dolphins.
