Simply titled 'smoke' because for most of the summer here in Ontario our sunsets were hazy. Lake Huron on the peninsula still rules in terms of watching them. Also, I vowed never to paint a sunset and look what this landscape made me do.

I heard very little about this series here or anywhere... sometimes reviews do not reach us in Canada but... this was excellent. I've long been interested in this story & seen every version but this one took the story to a new level: that Ellis was perhaps incapable of love.

There is no doubt in my mind that DEVO, had the corporate ethos been different, would be where some of these tech giants are right now. They were total visionaries & possibly the smartest guys to ever pick up a guitar. Why they didn't run MTV I will never understand. The doc on Netflix is a must.
