Her primary responsibility is looking after and supervising the youngest House daughters, guiding them through study time, mealtimes, hygiene routines, and bedtime. With her background as an art teacher, she brings creativity and fun into the children’s days.

Now at House with Heart, Sandhya and Pratikshya have been embraced by a house full of new sisters and caretakers. During their first days, they were already playing and laughing with the other girls, settling into the warmth and rhythm of their new home.

The uncle’s intermittent work as a day laborer was the family’s sole source of income, supporting eleven people. The children often went begging to neighbors for food and clothing.

After the death of their mother and being abandoned by their father, the sisters were living in extreme poverty in a remote rural community in western Nepal with their disabled aunt and uncle, who were raising seven additional children.
