Politically liberal, fascinated by astrology, retired ultra runner disillusioned by our Democratic Party "leaders" and hopeful the American people take over and then individually and collectively put a stop to this Trump MAGA nonsense
It's all well and good for House Democrats to call for change in Senate Democratic leadership but when is the dam going to break in the chamber that matters here?

Because corporate media is complicit, even the media that pretends not to be

Groove *IS* in the heart

Of course he was in on it.

Our millionaire legislators don't care about the people who vote them into office. They care only about themselves and their donors and their financial interests.

They only need us at election time

He means it didn't work before he lost interest in serving the residents of Maine who ARE NOT worth $22,000,000.

I'm sure he knows wealthy Mainers will be fine. What a relief!

Legislative bodies in the State of Maine should put multimillionaire Angus King under a financial microscope.

Their residents should learn how much King was worth when he entered politics, how much he's worth now, and how he got where he's at.

Then we'll understand why he capitulated to the GOP

I want to see the Democratic-controlled Virginia House of Delegates subpoena Tim Kaine for a strict detailing of how much he was worth when he entered elective office, how much he's worth now, and how he got there.

Illinois, Maine, Pennsylvania can do this too

Embarrass these people out of office

I'm 62. The world has moved on from me. That doesn't bother me in the least because my job as an older human is to get out of the way of the younger humans behind me.

I'm here if they need me but otherwise I'll stay out of their way.

I don't understand your fucking high horse superiority
November 7, 2025 at 12:31 AM
I'm absolutely ageist when it comes to selfish motherfuckers who won't recognize when it's time to give someone else a chance when it's time to do so.

Is Janet Mills a selfish motherfucker? Seems like she is to me
November 6, 2025 at 11:55 PM
"Not equipped to contribute much" does not in any way imply uselessness. I'm sure Janet Mills is a wonderful grandmother.

Most 79-year-old people would admit that they're better at contributing to their extended families than trying to compete in a world that's moved on from them. Why can't she?
November 6, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Elderly people like Janet Mills, Chuck Schumer, and Donald Trump remember what it was like when THEY were young.

There's a difference.

They're not equipped to contribute much to a society they couldn't even have imagined as young adults
November 6, 2025 at 10:41 PM
People who work normal jobs don't want to still be working at age 79. The perks and privileges of elected office must be so amazing that these people can't bring themselves to be unselfish enough to let younger generations take over.

The elderly have no idea what it's like to be young in the US

I think it would be pretty cool to be "Jasmine Crockett-like". She fucking rocks

I will always love Rick Wilson for #ETTD
November 5, 2025 at 10:08 PM
This.

I am OLD (62). I was talked into running for office a few years ago and I never felt comfortable doing so and lost the primary to a younger woman of color.

As I should have. It's time for younger people to take our place and for boomers like myself to give way. It's their world now
November 5, 2025 at 10:07 PM
It's more of a battle than I expected for sure. But I'm up for whatever is put in front of me. So far anyway
November 5, 2025 at 9:13 PM
Thanks. My mistake. I think I knew that
November 5, 2025 at 9:09 PM
I never claimed to be original. In fact, how exactly do you go thru life "original"?

Live on a deserted island?

I can see how your definition of "original" might lead you to support, yes, Third Way, Republican-lite Democrats.

Sorry for the lack of originality. I understand that's important to you
November 5, 2025 at 7:27 PM
I'm only gloomy when I see Democrats like you embrace the past. When they insist on embracing Third Way, Republican-lite Democrats like Hillary, Jeffries, and Schumer.

But the times they are a-changing and that they will be forgotten soon enough if they don't start paying attention to the voters
November 5, 2025 at 7:04 PM
I appreciate your concern for me. My Med-Alert bracelet is indeed emitting its high-pitched wail.

I was worried until I realized it was only responding to the national repudiatation of the coddled corporate Democrats you've embraced.

You should get one yourself. It might make you a better person
November 5, 2025 at 5:58 PM
I'm excited that so many people learned from the two-time mistake of Donald Trump coupled with Republican control of Congress and showed up to do their job.

Now to toss out our corporatist Democratic Party leadership
