While I'm not naive enough to assume each generation becomes more progressive than the last, it's still jarring and unnerving to hear decades-old misogyny and racism from people younger than I am.

So I'm interested in the recent adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. It's one of my favorite books...
... but considering Alexandre Dumas wrote it as a revenge fantasy for his father, I think Edmond Dantes should have been Black. He always gets cast as a white man in adaptations.

Last season of #Arcane was super-rushed and really sucked, but it had some stellar moments.
