Let us not forget that Trump used Venezuela as a scapegoat in his 2020 defeat. Something about them owning the voting machines. That issue will almost certainly come back up in the midterms. With Maduro in custody, it wouldn't be surprising if the whole conspiracy gets a reboot.

Only a weak country fights helping poor refugees because they don't think they're strong enough to weed out the ones wanting to hurt everyone. The US used to be one of those countries that didn't fear taking in refugees.
