These types of opinions quoted below are even more outlandish when you explain the Twitter changes neutrally: The platform was overhauled to change the types of posts and interactions between users (everyone agrees this happened!) Millions of users preferred the original experience so they left.
This is the "Harris lost because of identity politics" of arguments about social media. People just keep brainlessly making it over and over. Facebook and Instagram exist! TikTok exists! YouTube and Reddit exist! Twitter was not some special unique platform!

Spotting fake posts by people posing as your political opponents is an underrated skill. No one can be perfect, but seeing who falls for them is a decent metric for identifying who you should trust.
