@maddow.msnbc.com Sorry, Rachel, to suggest a correction, but I beg to suggest yet again that Trump’s team *IS* “sending their best.” This is indeed the caliber of talent willing to work toward the dismemberment of democracy in service to a convicted felon and sex criminal.

The “Katie Johnson“ deposition video online specifically cites a Trump ‘rape fantasy’ involving her and a fellow Epstein girl named Maria that ended in “Johnson’s” assertion that Trump brutally took her virginity at age 13. Please inquire if this Maria participated in such a “fantasy.”
Tonight!

Jeffrey Epstein accuser Maria Farmer will be Jen Psaki's guest on The Briefing.

We'll also be joined by investigative journalist Julie K. Brown. @jkbjournalist.bsky.social

@maddow.msnbc.com You say Trump is “not sending their best people.” What if they ARE?!! I suggest for a guy who bankrupted casinos, was convicted of defamation in a sex abuse case and of 42 felonies in a corporate civil corruption trial—that this IS the best he can attract.

@weissmann.substack.com Legalisms are complex. But when a fed judge rules that an act is unconstitutional, why let an appeal stay allow the unconstitutional act to proceed while the offender seeks a different outcome? The illegality persists!

@nicollewallace.bsky.social: Hosting Jacob Soboroff’s empty Port of Long Beach sailing tour, with drone coverage, was very creative TV—one cargo ship at dock and empty cranes throughout! A strong visual representation of Trump’s tariff fiasco.

@jacobsoboroff.bsky.social: Fabulous idea & fantastic job sailing the Long Beach port with its director & and overhead drone! Very effective way to show how moribund the economy has become because of Trump’s cockamamie tariff “war.” Just ONE cargo ship visible at dock and empty cranes everywhere!

Michelle Obama will skip Trump inauguration, but ex-Presidents Obama, Clinton and Bush will be there….
Michelle should update her mantra: “When they go low, we go ghost!”

@nicollewallace.bsky.social If you aren’t already on the case, you might consider a shoutout to The Contrarian, the Substack commentary site just launched by Jennifer Rubin (who just quit WaPo on principle) & Norm Eisen, which has a roster that includes most of MSNBC’s regular panel of experts.

From NYTIMES:
In abandoning the original spending deal and stripping it of an array of policy changes that had been included, Republicans dropped at least four bills related to pediatric cancer research and treatments. That drew sharp criticism from even right-leaning pundits….

It takes a special combination of chutzpah, ignorance and incompetence to lose these early legislative battles of one’s second term in office even before you’ve been sworn in.

A ton of voters only get their news about Democrats… from Republicans. To fight back, we should build up independent progressive media, reach out to voters who don’t watch political news—AND go on offense on conservative outlets.

That’s why I went on Fox News. Break the bubble.

I’ve been hoping some astute journo would post this nimrod’s hit list, so thanks for that. Patel obviously has too much time on his hands. We should probably send holiday greeting cards to all of them. I’m sure I can’t be the first to mention, though, that Eric Holder was Obama’s AG, not FBI chief.
Most of us have two or three enemies, tops. Kash Patel has so many (60) that he has to write down their names to keep track of them. This is not a good quality in an FBI director. My latest.
