Map of the Bangkok urban railway, BRT and boat lines. Highlighted in Blue and Magenta are two routes I suggest you take depending on how much time you have

The Nîmes BHNS line T2 has a per-km cost on the higher end of BRT projects in France, at €118 million for 11.5 km (including rolling stock), or €10 million/km. However, the quality of the streetscape and stop finishes is mind-blowing.

Beautiful! Do you know what those large grey boxes are for? I can't imagine a bus stop needs that much electric infrastructure.

To paint the ceiling of Den Haag HS they have erected this scaffolding over top of which a large platform can roll to reach the entire ceiling

Autumn is coming and sadly so are the leafblowers

Ah thanks! Mistakes like that will always slip through

The Hague has a great tram system. Unfortunately the official HTM map does not reflect that. It is oriented the wrong way, cluttered with unnecessary information, and lacks a coherent design. I wanted to change that by designing my own version of the map.

The Dutch parliament just gave 13 assignments to the minister to boost international trains 🇳🇱🚆

- Work on a direct train to Scandinavia (via Fehmarnbelt tunnel)
- Reopen cross-border routes (Nijmegen–Kleve, Maastricht-Hasselt, etc.)
- Support the European Sleeper Amsterdam–Barcelona 🌙

and more

Had the sudden realisation that a year from now I will have to pay to use Public Transportation. Genuinely will be a restriction to my freedom of movement

Plan is for the website to host a comprehensive list of Travel Guides for Transit geeks who like to experience the quirks of each network

Many more Travel Guides in the pipeline, currently writing Den Haag, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht (of course I have to start in NL).

Mooi gewassen van buiten. Een waardig afscheid voor deze rijtuigen. Ga ze een klein beetje missen, maar niet heel erg.

Interesting to see that Google took the time to redraw the light rail lines in Pittsburgh due to the tunnel closure despite G-Maps usually being dogsh*t at drawing transit line

2 hours and 12 minutes on a light rail train, those seats better be comfortable.

NS will be changing all departure screens to dark mode in order to reduce energy consumption.

They also state that the readability increases for colourblind people, something I was not aware of. I've never been a fan of dark mode but if it increases readability and sustainability, why not.

Back in the Parliament at the most well known debate of the year. I hope to come back here often, but maybe not just as a visitor

Today was the annual test closure of the Maeslant Storm Surge barrier before the storm season begins in October.

The Minister of Infrastructure came to witness it with his entourage

That thumbnail image is hilarious and shows how much Seattle needed (and still needs) a metro over light-rail.
