I worked on critical IT systems for 20 yrs. There's nothing they could do in that short time except break things or steal something sensitive (if they already knew where to look). And going into code to find budget or org efficiencies is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Decades and decades of hard-learned lessons and skills....all gone in a flash.
It will take ages, and a lot of pain, to replace that.
