On the way to London to deliver a Train the Trainer session for a young person’s specific overdose response & naloxone training that we’ve developed. Look forward to sharing more details as we roll it out across all @turningpoint-uk.bsky.social substance use services & hopefully wider.

6 years ago today I made one of my worst wardrobe decisions ever, and we launched the Low Dead Space campaign. This was a collaboration with people currently using drugs to promote the benefits of LDS syringes. Still one of my proudest achievements. 👇 www.exchangesupplies.org/product/P121

I want to say a massive thank you to my lovely friend @steelewez.bsky.social at @scottishdrugsforum.bsky.social for sending me this bag of goodies. It’s not just the message on the shirt that reminds me we’re all in this together ♥️ #TogetherWeCan #StopTheDeaths

And just like that it was over. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to our #saferlives2024 conference. I especially want to thank all of our speakers who made it such a truly thought provoking, emotional and inspiring event. Too many highlights to pick just one ♥️

Almost ready to go for #SaferLives24 In just over an hour we’ll be welcoming 200 delegates for a day focussed on what we can do to address the year on year rise of avoidable drug deaths.

As this year’s Safer Lives Conference is almost upon us I thought I’d share some moments from last year’s event, including ending the day in a government sanctioned consumption room with some harm reduction legends ♥️

Pitbulls are the best dogs. Sadly they are banned here in the UK unless you are able to get an exemption. I was lucky to have 15 years with this guy ♥️

I’ve spent most of today overthinking my introductory speech for Safer Lives 2024. Really excited to be returning to Birmingham for our sold out 3rd conference. This year’s theme - Harm Reduction in a Time of Change. For anyone on here who’s coming, I look forward to catching up with you next week.
