Question: What is Austin’s ceiling? Realistically. If you look at the real contenders this year in the West ( OKC, Wolves, Clippers, Nuggets, Dubs) Austin wouldn’t a top 3 guy on any of those teams. And he’s not that young. What happens when you have to pay him big $$?? #lfrpodmailbag

Honestly, would be very excited if LAL landed Jamir Watkins or Hunter Sallis at that late 2nd.
Defensive oriented/strong wing in Watkins and just a solid SG in Sallis.
Watkins is so physical as a wing that his advanced numbers, esp FTr and Reb rate, read like a center.

Instant reaction was it was an overpay BUT that 2031 first is far worse value now that Luka is on the team. The swap probably won't matter unless things go horribly wrong and very well for the Hornets. Dalton has had flashes and is going to put up a lot of numbers, but the defense is very worrisome.
