Excavations were a massive downgrade from the previous games. Instead of having new gimmicks for each planet you just get generic cubes that all work the same way. Sometimes the cubes would have minerals in them making it a waste of time.

Spectrobes Origins
Had this game for years but never finished it. I think most of my issues with the game would be fixed by it just not being a Wii game. The motion controls were really clunky and made combat unnecessarily hard at times, compounded by not having a way to heal spectrobes.

Been looking back at Spectrobes and I think the card input system is really cool. Absolutely terrible if they were intending these things to sell like actual TCGs, but really cool to use and share the info with others.

I forgot how nice gen 5 looked. I've only finished the story, but it was pretty enjoyable going through Unova again. I've only dipped my toes into Poke Star Studio and the PWT, but I'm really looking forward to unlocking more of that. PWT is the coolest thing GF has made for postgame

A childhood game I finally beat just for the retroachievements. I understand why I never finished it as a kid, it's confusing and just really boring. It ends up becoming a pixel hunt for the whatever random object you forgot to interact with.

Also did a run through a gen 4 game just to have an easy way to mess around in the other iteration of the Battle Frontier. Replaying the game made me realize how empty gen 2 is. I think having Kanto actually hurts the game a lot and takes away from both regions

Revisiting my first pokemon game. It's hard going back to gen 3, but Hoenn is still fun to run around in. The Battle Frontier is the most interesting post game they've ever made but a lot of it isn't that fun imo
