You know, as a South African... those White South African feeling oppressed because apartheid ended, if they wanna go, who are we to stop them. I'd say Europe be a more appropriate destination though

The targeted murder (straight up assassination) of Imam Hendricks yesterday morning shows how far we still have to go in South Africa, even with constitutional protections for LGBTIQA+ people... Imam Hendricks is/was an openly gay Imam and a well-known activist and scholar... #QueerLives #LGBTI

Been doing #intermittentfasting and lost 155 canaries after 3 weeks... I deserve this apple pie because 20 days ago was my best friend's birthday 🎂 and she is going to her sister's 21st tomorrow!

A qualified yes. I do agree, but a lot of parts of Star Trek did not age well, both TOS and TNG... I do wish we got more utopian media to balance out all the more dystopia stuff (if we look at it on spectrum)
Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved.
We need more shows that look ahead and find goodness.

How good #Arcane was is how good I wish #MotherlandFortSalem and #Siren was... Arcane had some issues in the last season but stuck the landing in terms of world building and story. Fort Salem & Siren were shows I loved, but it's inconsistent worldbuilding, lack of exploring deeper themes left my sad
