I also do not have Sasha's sangfroid of sneering at No Kings. It seemed perfectly attuned to my own bourgeois mentality.

Those percentages seem a little off. My feed used to have more pro-Palestinian content. It has tapered off somewhat. To what extent it is the result of bsky mods who are rather unformed as human beings, I do not know. Thankfully, I've removed most libs arguing it isn't a genocide from my feed.

$24.99 on asterismbooks plus taxes and shipping and handling would easily exceed $30. As someone who loves to read but is on a limited budget that price tag is prohibitive, unless I have some special interest or curiosity. Though I appreciate the effort and wish that I could have helped.

Clicked on the link to find the helpful tip, "books that hipsters like." Such clueless cynicism. I do like the Gallimard Folio covers mostly, though they tend to be made by what feels like are excitable people. Better than apathy. Also wide range. From Modiano to Tagore on their Folio line.

Normally, I wouldn't be tempted by Thoureau but at 3 euro I will take a flyer. I also think there is something about the form factor that democratizes literature. Less intimidating.

Being very price sensitive, I really appreciated mass market editions of Bellow, Dostoevsky, Thomas Mann, all of which I own. I wish that US publishers would have thought of publishing current literary fiction in this format. Here is the 2-3 euro list from Gallimard. www.gallimard.fr/collections/...
