If you click on the link it'll take you to our database page for that interview, and NORMALLY this "Source" property is a link to a website:

Ah, this is from a book, so I have the ISBN # in the source property.

Now that you mention it that is both unintuitive (since it's not labelled well) and kinda insufficient (since it's not clear what the title of the book is). I'll see if I can find a better way to include that info in the future!

And from what I can tell, Japanese devs would almost never say “I’ve been pushing for this for years” or the like in a public-facing interview.

I wonder

I’m not sure how much we can take her at face value here. For one thing, the original AC dev team intentionally included a lot more women than usual for Nintendo for this very reason. Kyogoku didn’t join until later.

I’m not aware of any interview that specifically mentions the logo or sword. I do know that in the Arts and Artifacts book there is an interview where they mention that a lot of early Zelda 1 art was contracted out.

And the _NA_ boxart and logo were outsourced to Tim Girvin’s design company

Yea it might be a good idea in general. In this particular case it was because he eventually worked on a Zelda game! But maybe it’s worth relaxing my rules to do some others
