I think RCM is a hugely under rated period.

He’s had a very busy morning. Estates management first thing, breakfast, brunch, early lunch, crashed out on the sofa. Wandered round to the front of the house to supervise me sorting out a new plant on the doorstep. Thought “sod this”. Came back. He’ll be emerging later. Dunno how he fits it in.

Prime correspondents like Nadine Dorries and Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, in the eternal fluffing of bitter women who didn’t get their peerage. It’s a vital social space.

Honestly, look at the state of him? He’s a natural born poseur. Plays us both off against each other, normal morning text message: “Rango’s been fed, don’t listen to his lies, and he’s had two Webbox chew sticks this morning”.

He’s ridiculous isn’t he? And he knows it. When can be arsed.

Thank you for sharing. Your posts, and work, always bring joy and confirmation that the world is not entirely ran by vile corrupt oligarchs. Kindness starts so close to home.

Hutchence and Co were knocking it out the park. I was lucky enough to see them at Newcastle City Hall early on the Kick tour - supported by Sinead O’Connor (with Smiths Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce). They went all round the world, Need You tonight finally became a hit. Came back megastars.

Always trying to fine more hi resolution picture of that session. The pics you shared back not so long ago are fantastic.

Scoundrel Days is literally the greatest album ever made. It’s a safe place to sit. Astonishing work. When we finally made the trip to Bergen the other month, charging in to the North. There was only one album in my head. X
