I’m sure some folks will know Samuel West in the real world; I used to love his feed on the other place daily, but seriously, somebody tell him from me how brilliant the Malvolio he’s given us is? It’s “National Treasure” level. #RSC #TwelfthNight

Yes you will. @nigelslater.bsky.social’s Classic Christmas Cake is being indecently well fed.

Just back from a whistle stop trip to London seeing Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at the Barbican Theatre. Wonderful cast and staging. Get tickets if you can. Samuel West, Freema Agyeman, Gwyneth Keyworth and Joplin Sibtain all shining very brightly. Brilliant ensemble at the top of their game.

One of the most beautiful Reform takedowns ever captured on camera. Why aren’t our newspapers and broadcasters bringing this same level of robust challenge to these bastards?

The most powerful anti racism weapon I have is knowledge and respect for Islam. Bring it. Watch how I slap your racism. I’m no expert but I studied and learned about Islamic philosophy as part of my further education back in the 90s and I will spot your racism and call it out.

If you’re a bit of a foodie and don’t follow the magnificent John Kirkwood on YouTube? What are you doing?

In this part of the world we call these “fadgies”. The best breakfast bun. Ever. Folks queue up outside Blucorn Bakery in the village on Xmas Eve to get supplies in.

Because it’s Christmas, and as a child of the 1970s brought up in North East England, there will be tinsel wrapped around the pictures on the wall. This masterpiece hangs over our fireplace in the front room. #ABBA

Very lucky that my fabulously talented friend and former “work wife” Sue makes a door wreath for us every year. She delivered this beauty to us last night. Stunning. Christmas can commence x

All hope for humankind was surrendered on that warm night in June when, dressed in matching waistcoats, Mumford and Sons headlined the Pyramid Stage.

Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…
