Society has become deaf to “the other side” or “differing viewpoints.” There is no listening, no Socratic debate. Look at “social media” and “mainstream media.”

The #Uniparty isn’t working for the good of the republic…they’re working at the expense of it n all levels of government.

On #MemorialDay2025 & many days I reflect that “freedom” isn’t free. Our service men & women give some but others gave all. Thank you to those service men/women & families. It’s not enough, however it’s all I have to give right now. Know that you are prayed for and honored today.

We can’t stop every threat but can assess risks, close known gaps, & build tested response plans. That starts with solid risk assessments & strong leader/family/org backing. #Resilience isn’t about reacting…it’s about being ready.

The rich fighting over toys in the sandbox & we’re caught in the middle. If it’s happening at the FAA it’s happening elsewhere…maybe NASA.
These new hires come after the terminations of hundreds of FAA probationary employees, and the most deadly month of US aviation disasters in more than a decade.
SpaceX engineers brought on at FAA after probationary employees were fired
Hiring comes under policy creating “employment opportunities for people with disabilities.”…

“Free” cost someone somewhere something. They spent money, time, or both to GIVE IT YOU. In some cases, products from Meta, X, and other online products, you GIVE THEM YOUR DATA to use a “FREE” service. Remember that.

In the past, I’ve said that “Givers must have boundaries because takers have none.” Membership in group/organization is a two way street…so is a tribe. This is a great video about the topic: youtu.be/fdruzhoRYs4?... Who is in your tribe? What do YOU contribute?
Are you a Contributor or a Consumer to the Tribe?

This is not surprising as society doesn’t agree on the definition of a “fact.”

It was 41 years ago today that W5LFL picked up an amateur radio on the Space Shuttle during STS-9.

Owen Garriott talked with Lance Collister, WA1JXN, to complete the first ham radio contact in human spaceflight.
