i DID get it back running again. i suspect a fuel regulator fault of some kind. it was making a humming sound with ignition on, and the car started after I fiddled around with the plug going into it.

as much as it seems like it's the perfect sim for me, i do love those old cars that have been shown, i won't be touching it out of principle.

that and i already blew my money on the nearly identical AMS2 DLC (which is amazing fun if you haven't tried)

It was ridiculous. A lot of the crimped & messy wires ended up going to the heater and fan switches, eventually found the ones I needed for the head unit & now it all works! ...except now I found that my automatic antenna doesn't extend and retract itself. traded one problem for another

I got the cheaper Bilstein option, supposedly match the OEM ride, and my aim for this car is originality. Should be putting them in this saturday, whole rear end is coming out for bushings pretty much so hopefully I can get it all done.

bewildered by it. would be less surprising if their EV platforms worked well, but so far the Taycan, whilst nice to drive, suffers many issues. And the Macan is just bad. Their hybrid powertrains are really nice too which makes it even weirder - I enjoy the 911 T-Hybrid and Cayenne e-Hybrid a lot.

honestly I think lawmakers worldwide need to take a leaf out of South Australia's book and their 'High Powered Vehicle' law/licensing requirement, but tie it to torque (or make it generally EV-centric).

also write tickets/warnings/defects (if applicable) for improperly adjusted/pointed headlights ‼️

literally the ONLY things that should have ever gone there were certain licence tests and the 'Like The Wind' series. That's it. Nothing else.

should be able to get even more joy out of it soon, i have shocks coming middle of next week and every single rear end suspension bushing i could find hopefully arriving the week after that.

oh man, that 95 must be amazing to own.

my 900 is my first saab, and it's such an incredibly special feeling. looking into the yard and seeing it fills me with joy not quite like any other cars i've had.

driving it is a blast too, though i haven't done much since it's unregistered for the moment.
