Die Wannseekonferenz stellt also eine Eskalation des Holocaust dar. Mit ihr schafften die Nazis den bürokratischen und organisatorischen Rahmen den es brauchte, um in wenigen Jahren sechs Millionen Jüdinnen_Juden zu ermorden.

Bereits vor der Wannseekonferenz wurden 900.000 Jüdinnen_Juden aus Deutschland und den besetzen Gebieten ermordet. Dem zuvor gingen Ausgrenzung, Hetze, rassistische Gesetze, Pogrome uns eine Rhetorik der Vernichtung gegenüber Jüdinnen_Juden.

Nous déplorons avec une grande tristesse le décès de Raymond Renaud (1923-2026). Déporté en 1943 à Buchenwald en tant que résistant français, il a œuvré durant de nombreuses années à la transmission de la mémoire. Nous lui sommes profondément reconnaissants pour son témoignage et son engagement.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of French resistance fighter Raymond Renaud (1923–2026).
He was deported to Buchenwald concentration camp as a political prisoner in 1943. He was involved in remembrance work for many years. We are deeply grateful for his testimony and his commitment.
