Sitting on my back porch carving a new walking stick while listening to the wind, birds, purring kitties and snoring pups. This may be overly ambitious. I've sold several hand painted sticks but carving and adding gemstones is a new experience.

Courtesy of whatever has been enjoying the seeds I've been putting out in my bird feeder. I counted 14 buds from top to bottom. Is this normal for a sunflower??? 🌻

Poppies are starting to bloom. I have a sort of love/hate relationship with these things. They are beautiful but the downside is the short bloom time plus they are highly invasive. I started with three small plants and now I could start my own Wizard of Oz poppy field.

Aww, I'll bet he/she is enjoying the fresh air. Our Pyrenees mix rescue dog lost her sight four years ago. It hasn't slowed her down. She'll be 10 in July.

Why do we even give cats names? It's not like they answer when you call them. Anyhow, here's Jack and Idgy, a bonded pair that I believe are siblings. They adopted me. A long sad story with a happy ending. 🐾🐈⬛

Caught this in my peripheral while walking Lily and my heart skipped a beat. I thought it was a nest of some kind of animal with their beady little eyes watching me. Time to get my eyes checked!

This was twenty years ago that my daughter and son helped to plant this tree. It's still there today, growing strong. Times seemed so much simpler then. I think I'm going to plant more this year.
