In critically ill adults with acute brain injuries, SDD reduced in-hospital mortality and improved ICU outcomes, including fewer infections and shorter ventilation duration, with no similar benefit seen in patients without brain injuries. zurl.co/pQAjr

In selected ICU patients with hospital-acquired bloodstream infections, 7–10 day antibiotic therapy reduced treatment failure at 28 days compared to longer courses, mainly by lowering subsequent infections, without increasing mortality. zurl.co/kEdQa

Secondary decompressive craniectomy was linked to better outcomes in TBI patients, while barbiturates were associated with worse results. Guideline adherence was limited but showed a trend toward improved outcomes. zurl.co/PDjBw
