I made this sketch for an idea I had a long time ago exploring the idea of the famous myth that sharks "smell a drop of blood in 2 million liters of water" and become uncontrollably frenzy.

This scene depicts a distant event in the past history of my shark civilization.🦈✨
A humanoid shark that resembles a great white shark in antique clothes appears among the plants on a beach offering a healing potion to an unknown human with wounds on her arm. The shark is saying that it smelled her wounds and thought it would bring a healing potion. Just something to convey a more benevolent idea to the famous myth about sharks "being able to smell a drop of blood in 2 million liters of water" and the myth that they go into an uncontrolled frenzy when they smell blood.

This is a tribute to Peter Benchley, author of 'Jaws', who dedicated his life to reversing the unexpected negative impact his book had on the image of sharks.

An allegory of the "Jaws" movie poster that caused damage and negative stereotypes to the image of sharks that persist to this day (I'm glad it's slowly changing, but it's still too slow to be considered forgivable). Now with a reversal of roles, with the human victim replaced by a simple wild shark and the terrible stereotyped shark replaced by a monstrous human skull seeming to want to devour the shark (this is the reality, we kill thousands of sharks every year, many of them killed for irrational reasons, who is the real cruel killer?)

USA TODAY was provided copies of the emailed threats, which were also sent to Alejandra Caraballo, a clinical instructor at the Harvard Law School Cyberlaw Clinic who writes frequently about the issues. One emailed threat was apparently sent to Anne Perry, a state representative. Perry, a Democrat who represents a small district in far-northeastern Maine, is the main sponsor of LD227, a bill introduced this week that would protect doctors in the state who provide gender affirming care to patients from states that have laws hostile to such treatment. The threat also apparently named Sen. Donna Bailey, Perry’s co-sponsor on the bill. Earlier this week, Perry and Bailey were targeted in a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Libs of TikTok. The tweets listed both lawmakers’ email addresses. In January, the Maine State House was evacuated for a bomb threat on the first day of the legislative session. At the time, the legislature was considering another bill on transgender
