What do I think about EVs? The clue is in the name.
2035 will be the first year of a big change.
I don’t know if this would sell a lot in Europe, but the KIA Ray as an EV seems like the perfect city car.
The car is being offered here after subsidies for the equivalent of 15.000KWR

Live with an EV can be so easy. Even in the city.

It's always nice to publish data from people that know what they are talking about. Renewables weren't expensive in 2024 and won't get more expensive in the future, and nuclear power is the least economical of all the energy sources.

Charging with non-cooled cables. It starts at 500A. After about 10pm the car can still accept high 400Amps but the plug and cable are too hot to handle it and goes down to 350A for 2-3min. And then it goes down to 300A, its constant current rating.

From Statista based on 2023 data
The "per capita value" is quite meaningless if you wan't to "save the world". And even those values are meaningless if you don't add the percentage of renewable energy of the whole.

Those graphs don’t look that rosy if you put them in perspective. Than electricity is made in a big bunch by burning coal. 🤨

I hear much about China and renewables. And China will dominate the world, and we should all do like China, but the reality looks like this. China has still a long way to go in order to have decently green energy.
