The famous map.
Boston always stood out as curious for being the one exception.

I'm afraid I'm turning a bit Farage in my old age.
Can't help but find issue with this letter about getting the bairn vaccinated. Translated into a 6 pages of random languages (no French?).
So much paper.... And I bet it does more to enrage idiots than help non English speakers.

I've just learned of the existence of Neuf-Brisach. A French city near the German border that to do this day constrains itself within a star fort.
This.
I like.
Its on my travel list.

It's probably just me, but the new Tyne and wear metro trains feel really weird with this metro style seating but such wide spacious carriages.
In my mind this style of seating takes me back to smaller gauge trains in Tokyo.

Never let a 4 year old get hold of the remote. They'll be on YouTube and watching Woden knows what before you know it.

If posted on twitter this would get me in the paper right?
Look! The little blue bag! It's white!

Went to #Wallsend today.
Not many flags about but an ungodly amount of vulgar crosses painted on random spots of the road.
I wonder if this is a sign of the relative poverty of the area vs. Flag filled areas down south?
Flags ain't cheap.

My favourites are Copenhagen crossings, very common in Switzerland (and I guess Denmark).
You don't even notice you're crossing a place cars can go half the time.

So why not just give pedestrians priority at junctions? Why set out to spite drivers whilst you're at it? A stick to press a button - just think about that.
This method used in Switzerland does it very well I find. Remove the junction completely. The driver is a guest on the path, not vice versa.

It does work. In the Netherlands fietsstraten are common, there's lots been written about them and they do work.
In Switzerland this kind of path is common. You can see rather than the idea of pedestrians having to cross the road, instead quite clearly cars have to pass the path. And it works.

Looks a lot like these things I've been seen a few companies in Switzerland starting to use.

Sorry to share from the bad place but.... #Oxford wut?

A big change I've seen since I was last in Switzerland a year ago is quite a lot of these wee cars have sprung up. It seems a lot of businesses have them-these doctors and some carers are the two I have really noticed.
