Both the Puritans and Huguenots are on my mom’s side ~400 years ago and I only know the prominent stories, I’m sure along the way they married people who came for approximately every other reason a Western European might emigrate.

When I read Lolita, the writing was brilliant but I could only handle being in that monster's head in small doses. My edition had an afterword from some dude like, "Isn't it amazing the way Humbert draws you in and then after you finish, you start to think, was he the bad guy??"

I have lived in walking distance of Seattle’s zoo for over a decade and go like, once a month. They have an animatronic dinosaur zone this summer and kids love it. If they had real T Rexes I would go every goddamn day.
