Caught up with a number of GP pals recently… most retired, all despairing of the demise of comprehensive General Practice, and the emergence of $$-driven enterprise! (As an aside, a common theme was reluctance of younger colleagues to take on the roles formerly the backbone of community based care.)

Everyone needs an “advocate”. In my case it was my wife who called the Medical Emergency Team prior to a cardiac arrest.
