If there’s one thing I observed back then, it’s that protesting alone can be widely accepted in the first few instances, then resented or ignored, no matter the numbers.

That if there was enough unifying principles vs ego’s at the forefront, politicians can become irrelevant, otherwise, they win.

My point here is that when one needs to look at matters of ✨effectiveness, OWS ultimately failed, yes, but not because of the flash of numbers per individual protest.

And not because it was a sustained movement with people building systems together. It was because of infighting leading to burn out.
