On Thursday December 4th, IGRCT director Laura Jansen will be giving a lecture at the Cambridge Faculty of Classics entitled "Cicada Sound Paths: Animal Voice and the Acoustic Ambient in Phoebe Giannisi's "Tettix"

The lecture will be held at 4:30PM in the Classics Faculty building.

Peter is Head of Subject for History of Art at the University of Bristol. He is a specialist in late medieval and Renaissance sculpture and also works on Italian literature of the period, Dante in particular.

Erin is a Senior Lecturer in English. Her recent book, Criminal Genius in African American and U.S. Literature, 1793-1845 shows at how creative genius developed in tandem with racialization in the early United States.

A huge congratulations to Dr Frances Pickworth, who has been appointed to a Lectureship in Digital Classics at @clahbristol.bsky.social. Frances was an intern for the IGRCT in 2022/23.

We are very proud of this accomplishment, coming so soon after Frances' successful viva defence earlier this year!
