Het is nu ondenkbaar dat er honderdduizenden mensen de straat op gaan tegen kernenergie en -wapens, zoals in de jaren '80 gebeurde. Terwijl minstens zo actueel is. Voor iedereen die meer wil weten over de antikernenergiebeweging tot nu toe.

👉 First, we will show the documentary Class Outside, about the anti-Israel protests in Amsterdam in 2024.
👉 Pepijn Brandon will discuss the Expert Report on Israeli-Dutch Academic Ties.

Palestine in Focus - Forms of Protest: Moving a University

We start the session with student protests. We will show the 34-minute documentary Class Outside, about the protests in Amsterdam in 2024. This film, directed by Aylin Kuryel, Deniz Buga, and Fırat Yücel, is a collective video diary capturing everyday moments of resistance, solidarity, and conflict, following the student encampments in Amsterdam during May 2024 and the various subsequent actions at other places.

Wie weleens bij het IISG komt, heeft ze ongetwijfeld gezien: de drijvende tuinen van kunstenaar Robert Jasper Grootveld. Nico Boink maakte een documentaire over deze vlotten, die krioelen van de planten en dieren.
