Play with friends for 5 hours, come home and nap like a king. Reuben seems like he's pretty happy with his life. It will be a year since I adopted him at the end of this month. He's come a long way from being a desperate pile of skin and bones like he was when we met. I love my happy goober.

Small pile, I think that I'm going to have to have some of my own stickers made so I can exchange with some folks. I think that skinny shelter one will fit on the edge of my joystick, and one of those Mayors is going on a wheel. All my other stickers are already on decksavers.

It's finally here! Red Bear Red Chair! Now I have to get some stickers on this thing. I got a pile of @mayoroftexas.bsky.social because he sent me a fat stack, and some @sheltervr.club ones. Gonna need more.

Oh yeah, one day of constant/consistent behavioral shaping and some cold weather is all it took. He now understands the purpose of his bed/blanket better. He went straight to his bed when he came home from 5 hours of playtime today, and attempted to tuck himself in. I gave him a hand.

It is very chilly today, so I'm using it as an opportunity to teach Reuben appropriate use of blankets and bedding. He often tries to murder bedding, which is a habit I'm trying to break so he can one day be allowed to nap on my bed with me without destroying things. I think it's going well today.

Last night I learned a shocking number of people would like to be penetrated by a witch hat. Like, so many more than I would have thought. Awesome party all around!

You can see him on top of the hook here, where he has just been sitting and vibing all week, waiting to do battle with any bird trying to come to the feeder. Everytime I peek out the window, he's there. I fucking love him.

There has been one particular hummingbird on my patio from dusk till dawn all week. The others in the neighborhood come too, but at some point in the past week he decided my feeder was his, when he's not drinking from it, he's perched atop it ready to chase the other hummingbirds away.

How it feels every time I agree to play a set somewhere
Reuben had his 6 month checkup today. He literally doubled in weight since I adopted him 6 months ago. He hasn't gotten longer/taller, he's just not starving anymore. He's doing great and is healthy, and as usual he charms every single person he meets. I'm proud of him, he's doing so well.
