I agree with this, but not with your followup post that nobody would reasonably view such a post from anybody as a threat. There are a lot of weird, violent freaks out there. And yeah, Link absolutely isn't one of them, but if your defense relies on that, you've said something stupid.

The defenses of Link's post largely involve "hey Link's a good guy" and "it's just the internet," and if your behavior has to be excused by "this would be frightening from a random person but not from a Big Name Poster" it is not very excusable.

I don't think it's a death threat in the sense of a reasonable person being concerned that Link sending it would show up to their house with intent to harm them. I do think that you'd be a fucking idiot to, say, mail that image of Kirk to a judge with a quote from the judge's opinion written on it.
