Just heard @maryannehobbs.bsky.social playing Lou Reed’s “Berlin” and it took me right back to that Xmas/NY in my early 20s that - due to a family thing - I spent alone, miserable & listening repeatedly to “Berlin” on CD…

This Xmas, my wife bought me a big wooden box to store ‘recent LP purchases’.
This has freed up a spare Kallax cube and so I’ve spent a very satisfying afternoon reorganising the jazz / reggae / blues / gospel / ‘world’ / general-weird-shit shelves to give everything a lil’ breathing space …
