it then goes short and they expect a cross so stay deep meaning that there was no chance. optically maybe not great but think if we dive out to block and he loops it in and they scored then we get stick. think u want him shooting from there rather than crossing it.

also, we were so deep because we were expecting a long throw. understandable with the way the game is and we were so deep that it meant no one had a hope in getting out. just one of those things. welcome to 25-26.

on watching it back, we were deep because we were expecting a long throw and i can't really blame them for expecting one the way the game is now. we were so deep though that no one could have got out in time i think.

i thought we were the better side until the wilson goal and carried a threat to be honest. draw a fair result and 99 times out of 100 that goes high and wide. fulham deserved a draw though.

agree but would also ask why players aren't fitter by now and able to play more? have we been spoiled by the likes of sadio, bobby and mo who just never missed games? would also say that the planning for the season by hughes etc needs questioning.

can't slope into ourselves like we did v wolves in the 2nd half. and when dcl comes on, which he inevitably will, everyone needs to keep their heads. fans and players alike.

enjoyed that overall, fair and balanced opinions from u both. stuff to be positive about but lots to still work on and with the season we've had it's nice to hear discussion about some positive things 👍

spot on with opinion of the first half dave. loads of positives to take and want to see them build on that. only half way through the pod!

don't think emery tells them to be as passive as they were first half. it's mad though, we were good first half not so good second and villa vice versa but that impacts how people compare the two performances.

was writing a reply along the lines of 'this is why i wouldn't want his at liverpool' and that he's at his level with seville/villa. then they scored.

ah, i misunderstood. in the context of the game today it wasn't easy to see but in the context of the season i get it. don't think it was a surprise we won, b4 the game i expected us to win. when it went 2-1 i wasn't as nervous as against leeds. lots of positives first half, still loads to improve.

set piece defensive record is shocking and needs work asap. should have been boxed by now.

ur right dan, 2nd half wasn't good, we couldn't keep the ball - a huge problem. to say it was easy to see coming after the first half i don't agree with. we were excellent 1st half. don't think u could see the 2nd half coming after the first 45. need a 90 min performance out of this lot asap though.

nailed it adam far too much negativity after the game, it still isn't perfect but baby steps in the right direction. hopefully they continue in the next couple of games 👍

spot on ian, very negative from some people, i get the last ten/fifteen was shocking but before then was fine. and the way the season has been i'll take fine all day at the moment!

obviously i'm not enjoying this season. the style of football under klopp was just the best. i've accepted it won't be like that but i liked a lot of last season & am hoping the style improves as things move on. ur right about the potential & i really hope they fulfil it between now & budapest 😂

fair enough and i get that just think that we were always better than them (granted a low bar but we are where we are!) - despite not being free flowing and fantastic - up until they scored. don't think we sat back, think we tried to manage the game at 2-0, bring them onto us and then get a third.

would say it was for the last quarter, before then we were comfortable i think. always the better team but the football isn't as good obviously!
