2/ Second batch planted were 1/2 of the Ziva paperwhites.
The next planting day is 12/26 which give a long period of blooms.
I also planted 3 Eremurus stenophyllus/bungei & 10 Ornithogalum arabicum.
The 3 Eremurus went in separate pots. I filled a big pot for the Ornithogalum.
Cancer 3rd qtr

The smaller hoophouses are no more.
(I should have taken a picture before I started disassembling it, but you get the gist of how they were.)
If you look among the weeds & the cactus you can see the rebar sticking out around the remaining frame. Each end of the pipe slipped down over them.

I also found a dozen or so 5 gal in my hoop house that can be repourposed.
That should bring me up to my needed count.

Additional plant holding area is complete & all the new plants are residing therein.
I still need to up pot the 4 newest olive 'trees', plus move the remaining plants on the north side of the house to here.
36° is the low forecast for Tues morning, then highs in the 70s for the next 4 days.

Once this batch of feed is eaten I'll wait until after Christmas to refill it. For now, there are still bugs to eat.

Temporary set-up at the end of the south facing deck, by the Blanc Du Bois grapevine. Filled with heat treated seeds so we won't have a bunch of volunteers growing all over the place,

All my plants, save for those at the front of the house & all those I up potted yesterday, are covered in 3 layers of frost cloth.
The new plants are cold tolerant, as should be the ones at the front of the house. <fingers crossed & prayers said>
Supposedly it's only going to get down to 36°.

I'm a fan of rebar in the garden. I like it because it's cheap, strong, & stays in place.
I recently saw this at a local nursery & want my spouse &/or youngest to build at least one for me.
