Stephen Miller and Homan’s goal is to shock and awe blue cities to terrify whole communities. They’ll deliberately targeting businesses, schools, hospitals churches and other places of worship. They want Americans to be afraid. Mayors and governors must stand up to them. Lawyers get on standby.

Pete Hegseth is the most unqualified nominee for Secretary of Defense in modern history.

He should be rejected by the Senate.

Epic courage here.
Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic.

CNN reports that the January 6 criminals have been told they are invited to attend inaugural balls tonight. They are going to be released from the D.C. jail momentarily.

All are insurrectionists.

We are not a democracy anymore, folks. We do not have rule of law.

"California paid in a lot more [to the federal government] than it got back — $83 billion in total. So did Washington state and much of the Northeast. Most red states were in the reverse position, getting much more from DC than they paid in return."

There are 3000 counties in US and ~500 of them are blue. They house half the population and generate 72% of American wealth. They are the hubs for innovation and economic activity. If you want to live in a backwater, that’s fine, but drop the piety.

Being a felon is a punishment with restrictions on rights. But the "voters," insured he would get a job that left this nonpunishment. Don't blame the judge for this. It is a broken system. Most felons have trouble getting a job in a car wash.

At many points, it looked as if he never would be sentenced. That he was sentenced to nothing, then, is itself a small victory

That's how much Big Oil has spent over the last 30 years paying off Congress to look the other way on climate action while the planet burns.

Well, the planet is burning.
Don't let them look away.
