I find that being assertive about road positioning only works if drivers respect why you're there. If they disagree/don't care about your safety they'll still tailgate/hoot/punishment close pass/force their way through regardless of where or why you've taken the lane

Anecdotes from current teaching staff at a couple of UK unis suggests the system preventing cheating either by AI or buying full essays, is pretty weak. Incredibly high bar for teaching staff to prove cheating has occurred, and lots of ways for students to weasel out of any consequences.
