I'll mostly be posting about table top RPGs, CGI, photography and writing but also probably whatever random thought crosses my mind

Liverpool (the place not the FC)

I do back end website development and accessibility for a living
Fun then?

Got the CD of the soundtrack

Kamen's soundtrack work was absolutely brilliant - Lethal Weapon, Edge of Darkness (or Edge of Lethal Darkness as Clapton once called it), Highlander, Die Hard etc

But he's also part responsible for (Everything I Do) I Do It for You

As long as it's not haunted by the smell of curry like the Crew - Derby Sunday trains were for a couple of years

(They found an actual take away stashed in one of the ventilation ducts eventually during a service)

Madhur Jaffrey's Curry Easy

Lamb Korma in an Almond-saffron Sauce - nice

Tomato Pullao - also nice

The Pullao seemed a bit plain with the lamb but the spicing is quite similar so maybe its that they didn't contrast

Being Carry Grant: A screwball comedy where Carry Grant wandered out of one of an LSD therapy session and wakes up in Manchester

No one believes he's the real CG so he has to make a living as a CG impersonator

Meanwhile a Mancunian CG impersonator holidaying in Vegas is hired to fill in for him

Origins of the multiplex are complicated but several screenings at once was one

Small cinemas have a greater risk - a turkey in a single screen cinema and your dead for a week. A screen when you have 10 others running not so bad

A 90min film might get 4 shows in a day while a 180 might run twice

Based on the replies to this I think there will be two new podcasts and a YouTube channel devoted to this in a week or so

And the one that's been going for 20 years run by an experimental archaeologist talking about beacon technology in pre-telegraph world will be screaming quietly into the void

Felix Salten died 1945 so 2015 UK and published 1923 so out of US copyright 2022 due to publication date

Dumbo story was copyright but not published 1939 so public domain in US but you're right Helen Aberson-Mayer died in 1999 so would be copyright in UK
