Yes - it had to come up some day!

So you have to tell me - how many reading items do you pack now?

LOVE Libby. I get nervous in a silly way when I fly that I'll run out of reading material so I always fly with 3 books @ the ready. I've never needed them all but I'm always s happy to have them.

Excellent falls and excellent cheese too!

Beautiful - happy to follow you and your work.

I agree. That's why the full, statewide Democratic slate in Texas is so exciting. Let's do it in all 50 states.

Get your Kleenex ready, it's a sad one. But loved it.

I've got a long flight ahead and think it could be ideal. Thanks for the encouragement.

Second time I'm reminded that I want to read it while I'm on Bluesky. Perhaps I should get offline and act!

She's beauty...

Just stopped in my local branch of the #NYPL and picked up The White Lady by Jacqueline Winspear (post WW2 former operative in GB) and Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta to get some Aussie culture before a trip. Amazing resource for New Yorkers and teens across the country.

I'm so happy to see that you are here. I follow you elsewhere and prefer Bluesky. I'm dealing with a birthday party on New Year's Day but am planning to pick up the needle in 2026.

I was just brushing my teeth pot brunch in NYC and thinking about all the places in the world where it is already 2026!

On my list to read...

Waiting for it from the NYPL (the towering TBR piles give me plenty of other options.)

I'm a NYer headed to Australia (including Melbourne) in January. Looking forward to dahlias, fresh tomatoes and all the other signs of summer! My cold bones are warming up just thinking about it. Thanks.

I live in Soho and love these little glimpses in the puddles too!

Thanks for this background. The Wren Song is such a great rousing tune and then you get the story and it's a little bit sad.

I was lucky to visit Singapore this fall & they are the gold standard for security & for customs entry. As an American who filled out the 5 minute online form 3 days before arriving it was only a matter of scanning my passport to enter. Downside? Not true for all countries & no stamps on passport.

I missed this but was talking with a small business sales person in the West Village last week. We agreed that NYC needs more clean and safe public bathrooms that people can use. I know it wouldn't be at the top of the list but it would be lovely.

Enjoyed it going east and west today!
