When we wre talking about future pets, I floated getting two cats and calling them 2B and 9S from NeiR Automata. Over time, "2B" kind of got bastardized into "Toobs."
We only got one cat in the end, a little lady, so Toobs she became!

Fortunately, unlike the Jets, there’s a lot of joy associated with being trans: there’s a wonderful community of folks supporting each other, you have a strong sense of identity and self acceptance, and every day the I see myself becoming more and more “me”.

Similar to strips featuring “the fake trans ally,” this wasn’t a joy to make. Maybe that’s not the right way to phrase it. There is a joy or catharsis in expressing my feelings no matter how painful they are, but it’s such a shame when those feelings are ones like I’m feeling today.

There’s a power in delivering a message as close to the primary source as possible, so having her words appear through the “voice” of her handwriting was important.
